ManageBac Calendar Sync ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension developed by Alikhan Abdykaimov that helps users synchronize their ManageBac timetables with Google Calendar. This privacy policy explains how the Extension handles your information.

Information We Do NOT Collect or Store

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. The Extension operates entirely on your local device and does not maintain any databases or external storage systems.

How the Extension Works

The Extension performs the following operations entirely on your device:

• Extracts timetable data from ManageBac websites when you click "Extract Data"
• Temporarily stores this data in your browser's local storage
• Converts the timetable data into calendar events
• Creates events directly in your Google Calendar using Google's API
• Clears temporary data when you sign out

Google Account Integration

To sync with Google Calendar, the Extension requires you to sign in with your Google account. This authentication:

• Is handled directly by Google's secure OAuth system
• Provides the Extension with temporary access tokens
• Allows the Extension to create calendar events on your behalf
• Does not give us access to your Google credentials

Permissions Explained

The Extension requests the following permissions:

• Identity: To authenticate with Google services
• Storage: To temporarily store timetable data locally on your device
• Active Tab: To read timetable data from ManageBac pages
• Scripting: To extract timetable information from web pages

Data Retention

All data is stored temporarily in your browser's local storage and is:

• Automatically cleared when you sign out of the Extension
• Removed when you uninstall the Extension
• Never transmitted to any external servers

Third-Party Services

The Extension interacts with:

• Google Calendar API: To create calendar events (governed by Google's Privacy Policy)
• ManageBac websites: To read your timetable data (no data is sent to ManageBac)

Security

Since we don't store any data on external servers, your information remains on your device and within Google's secure systems. The Extension uses Google's official OAuth authentication system for secure access to your calendar.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted in this document with an updated revision date.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect or store personal data, there is no data for us to delete or modify. To remove all Extension data:

• Sign out of the Extension (clears temporary data)
• Uninstall the Extension from Chrome
• Revoke calendar access in your Google Account settings if desired
